Extensive Definition

Autocue is a UK based manufacturer of Teleprompter systems. The company was founded in 1955 and patented its first teleprompter in 1962.
The term Autocue has become used for any heads-up prompting system in the UK, Ireland and Australia, and has as such become a genericised trade mark.
